Comparison of Interleaved Boost Converter and Two-Phase Boost Converter Characteristics for Three-Level Inverters

A boost converter is used in various applications to obtain a higher voltage than the input voltage. One of current main circuit systems for hybrid electric vehicles (HEVs) combination two-phase (parallel circuit) and three-phase two-level inverter. In this study, we focus on achieve even efficiency propose an interleaving scheme suitable three-level inverter (series circuit). The series has two capacitors connected makes it as power supply We analyze ripple parallel order show superiority circuit. Furthermore, novel output control strategy using optimal regulator, namely Linear Quadratic Regulator (LQR), As result, found smaller demonstrated simulation experimental results effectiveness proposed regulator.
